Therapy FAQs
-
This will always be a personal decision. You may be considering therapy for yourself or your child to explore feelings around overwhelm, managing/understanding emotions or even relationship challenges. Therapy can be a space to talk openly without judgement, and does not require you to be at a crisis point or have a diagnosis to be receiving therapeutic support.
-
We have the option of weekly/fortnightly 50 minute sessions or 80 minute sessions.
-
Session costs are as follows, £70.00 for a 50 minute session or £95.00 for an 80 minute session.
-
This will depend on the individual therapeutic goals/needs and can be discussed in more detail during your consultation and can be discussed as therapy progresses.
-
At our first session we have the opportunity to get to know one another, talk about what brings you/your child to therapy, ask any questions and decide whether therapy feels right for you or your child.
-
Yes, we will always work within the limits of confidentiality and with clear boundaries. Confidentiality is explained in an age appropriate way for children and young people with parents being supported throughout the process whilst respecting the child's privacy. This will be explored some more at your first session during the agreement and contracting process.
-
To feel nervous when you are starting something or meeting somebody new is completely normal. Please feel reassured that every session offers a gentle approach and will move at the pace and readiness of the client.
